National Talent Search Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT started in the year 1963. The purpose of the scheme was to identify talented students and nurture their talent. Talent refers to the potentiality that manifests itself in a high level of performance in one or more specialized areas. The scheme, therefore, covers areas like Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law. It honours and helps talented students by providing financial assistance in the form of a monthly scholarship. For the courses in Basic Sciences, Social Sciences and Commerce, this assistance is provided up to Ph.D. level. For professional courses like Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law this assistance is given only up to Post Graduation. The NCERT conducts the National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class VIII only.

475 posts of Lecturers/Assistant Professors

In partial modification of the Advertisement No. 7(i) published on 28.10.2009 in the Hindustan Times, The Tribune, Dainik Bhaskar and Amar Ujala inviting applications for recruitment of 475 posts of Lecturers/Assistant Professors or equivalent positions in the College Cadre HES-II (Group ‘B’) followed by Corrigendum published on 22.12.2009 and 29.01.2010 in the aforesaid Newspapers, it is hereby announced for general information of the candidates that relaxation of 5% marks from 55% to 50% marks at Master’s Degree level is also admissible to the SC/ST candidates. The last date for submission of application forms for the posts in question is extended upto 08.08.2011 for those SC/ST of Haryana candidates who could not apply at that time.
Those SC/ST of Haryana candidates who have already applied for these posts against Advertisement No. 7(i) dated 28.10.2009 and subsequent Corrigendum need not apply again as their previous applications will be considered. Cut off dates for determining age, educational qualification and other conditions shall remain unchanged.To read notification click here-

226 Pharmacist in Haryana

Reference Haryana Staff Selection Commission’s Advertisement No. 1/2010,
category No. 2, dated 12.3.2010 and corrigendum dated 6.4.2010 which were published in Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, Amar Ujala, Hindustan Times (Chandigarh), Indian Express (Delhi) and The Tribune.
In the said advertisement against category No.2, the posts of Pharmacist, Health Department Haryana have been increased from 150 to 226. Now the categorywise revised break-up of the posts will be read as (GEN=98, SC=36, BCA=27, BCB=18, ESM GEN=17, ESM SC=5, ESM BCA=6, ESM BCB=6, OSP GEN=1, OSP SC=3,OSP BCA=3, PHC Ortho=6).
The eligible candidates who could not apply earlier may apply now up to 01.08.2011. However, such eligible candidates who have already applied need not apply again as their old application will
be considered.
